Requirements for National Honor Society Membership
The purpose of the society will be to encourage and reward the four principles of the national organization: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character
To be eligible for Landstown High School’s National Honor Society, a student must:
- Have been enrolled at Landstown High School for at least one semester or, in the case of a transfer student, have proof of honor society status.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7.
- Be a sophomore or junior at the time of application.
- Have no honor code violation during the last 3 years.
- Be enrolled in or have completed six (6) of the following academic courses: Honors or Academy English 9, 10, 11; Foreign Language level 3, 4 or Two Foreign Languages level 2, 3, 4; Chemistry; Physics, Algebra II; Algebra II-Trig.; Math Analysis; Any AP Course; Any Gifted Course, Dual Enrollment Courses.
- Have excellent class averages in their current classes
- Have no concerns listed in their ParentLog for the past two years.
- Have demonstrated leadership and service through participation in extracurricular activities.
- Have been involved in community activities.
